There’s now a scam associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Canadian Red Cross says an offer for face masks is making its rounds via text, email and on social media.
The sender claims to represent the Red Cross and is offering masks for sale or to give away.
The Red Cross says this not a valid offer coming their organization and if you receive such a message to delete it and do not click on any links associated or respond.
Important note: If you receive a text message claiming to be from the Red Cross selling or giving away masks, do NOT click the link. It is not a legitimate offer. #covid-19
