Four Candidates Still Vying For Conservative Leadership

Four candidates remain in the running to become the next leader of the Conservative Party of Canada.

Wednesday was the deadline for candidates to submit $300,000 in fees and 3,000 membership signatures.

Peter MacKay, Erin O’Toole, Leslyn Lewis and Derek Sloan all did so before the deadline.

Another candidate, Rick Peterson, dropped out of the race last week after party officials refused to extend Wednesday’s deadlines amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The party still plans to hold its leadership convention on June 27.
