Inmate Dies At Dorchester Penitentiary

A 74-year-old man serving a life sentence at Dorchester Penitentiary has died.

Gerald Cooke died on Friday of apparent natural causes following an illness.

He was imprisoned in November 1995 for second-degree murder and attempted murder.

In all cases, Correctional Service Canada reviews the circumstances surrounding the death.
