Two Arrested After Report Of Shots Fired

Saint John police say two people have been arrested after a report of shots being fired in the north end.

Police say officers were called to the Adelaide Street area just before 3 a.m. Thursday.

“A vehicle suspected of being in the area at the time of the report was stopped on the Airport Arterial a short time later,” said police in a news release.

Two people in the vehicle, a 24-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man, were arrested for discharging a firearm.

No one was hurt and the Major Crime Unit is continuing to investigate, said police.
