Teen Arrested After Young Girl Sexually Assaulted: Police

Police say a 15-year-old boy has been arrested after a young girl was sexually assaulted in Quispamsis on Monday.

The Kennebecasis Regional Police Force says they were called to a home in the Vincent Road area around 12:20 p.m.

Police said they were told a six-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted in the driveway of her home by a stranger.

“Police began an immediate investigation to identify and locate the suspect, who had fled the scene on a bicycle,” said police in a release Tuesday.

Investigators identified a suspect and arrested him on Monday evening for sexual assault.

Police said the suspect was released on strict conditions and will appear in court July 15.
