P.E.I. Self-Declaration Now Available Online

If you are planning a trip to Prince Edward Island once the Atlantic Bubble is made official Friday, a self-declaration form is required.

Dr. Heather Morrison, the chief medical health officer for P.E.I., says the form can now be found online.

“Each person who is travelling into P.E.I., so these are residents of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland, they will be required to submit a self declaration. Public Health officials will be verifying travellers at the point of entry. We are asking people to print off that self declaration if at all possible.”

Applicants are being encouraged to apply no more than one or two days ahead of time before coming to P.E.I.

“This really has to do with the questions being asked about if you are feeling well or if you have had contact with anyone who may have had COVID,” Morrison says.

Public health officials in New Brunswick have not yet said whether a similar form will be required to cross over into this province.

The Atlantic Bubble will allow residents in Atlantic Canada to visit the four provinces without self isolating.
