Man Dies After Being Found Injured On Roadside

Police are investigating the death of a man found badly injured on the side of a road near Saint John.

RCMP say officers were called to the area of Route 825 in Fairfield at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Cpl. Jullie Rogers-Marsh said a 29-year-old man was found lying along the roadside, suffering from stab wounds.

Rogers-Marsh said the Saint John man was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

She said the cause of death is still under investigation but police are treating it as suspicious.

Rogers-Marsh said more information may be released later in the day Thursday.
