An investigation is underway after an assault at the Dorchester Penitentiary.
Correctional Service Canada says on July 5th, they found an injured inmate in the medium security section of the prison.
He was taken to an outside hospital to receive treatment.
Officials have found the person believed to be responsible.
The RCMP are also looking into the incident.
There’s no word on the current condition of the inmate.
