Charges Laid In Fredericton Hit-And-Run

A 51-year-old Fredericton man has been charged following a hit-and-run in the provincial capital earlier this week.

Police say Geoffrey John Pawsey is charged with failing to stop after a collision resulting in bodily harm, and driving while prohibited.

Investigators said a man crossing Prospect Street early Tuesday was hit by a vehicle, which then fled the scene.

According to police, the victim remains in critical but stable condition at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton.
