New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs says outgoing Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil has demonstrated admirable leadership during his 17 years in office.
In a statement on Thursday, Higgs noted McNeil’s leadership during difficult times like the Portapique shooting in April.
He said he has developed a strong working relationship with McNeil and they were able to collaborate on a number of issues impacting both provinces including COVID-19.
The premier said McNeil will continue to be a strong contributor to Nova Scotia and all of Canada in the next chapter of life.
