Elections NB Asks Voters To Keep Information Up To Date

New Brunswickers are being encouraged to update their voter information.

When you check your mailbox this week, you may find a bright yellow envelope from Elections New Brunswick.

Chief Electoral Officer Kim Poffenroth says they would like voters to ensure their information is up to date.

She adds correct information will help process voters more efficiently whenever the next election is to take place.

Poffenroth says once an election is called, New Brunswickers will be encouraged to vote early, either at advance polls or at the returning offices.

This will help avoid large crowds during traditional peak voting times.

A call centre has been opened to help update voter information and answer electors’ questions.

It will be open six days a week until August 31.

“We want people to call us if any of the information, such as the name of an individual listed as living at that address, is incorrect,” said Chief Electoral Officer Kim Poffenroth.
