Nova Scotia will have a new premier by February of next year.
Following Premier Stephen McNeil’s resignation earlier this month, the Nova Scotia Liberal Party has released the rules and plan for its leadership contest.
The leadership convention will be held on Feb. 6, which is when the party’s new leader and the province’s next premier will be chosen.
Candidates have until Oct. 9 to register and will have to pay a $60,000 entrance fee.
