Man Arrested In ‘High-Risk’ Traffic Stop: Police

One man has been arrested after what Saint John police describe as a “high-risk” vehicle stop.

Police say the traffic stop took place on the city’s east side just before 1 p.m. Friday.

It involved members of the street crime unit and emergency tactical services.

Police say a 48-year-old man was arrested and was allegedly in possession of a weapon.

He will appear in court at a later date to face weapons-related offences.
