Second Main Street Fire Considered Suspicious

The cause of a fire in a vacant building in the north end of Saint John is considered suspicious.

Saint John firefighters were called to 135 Main Street North around 11:15 p.m. on Monday and arriving crews could see flames coming from the second storey.

The roof suffered significant damage but, it’s not considered a danger to the public at the moment.

Fire officials believe it will need to be demolished at some point.

There was a fire in this same location on September 9th.
