Johnson & Johnson has temporarily paused its COVID-19 vaccine candidate clinical trials.
This includes the Phase 3 ENSEMBLE trial.
This is due to an unexplained illness in a participant.
It is now being monitored and evaluated by physicians.
The company says illnesses are expected as a part of any clinical study, but there will be a careful review of all of the medical information before deciding whether or not it should be restarted.
