Three Arrested In Moncton Drug Investigation

Three people have been taken into custody after police seized a large quantity of drugs in Moncton.

Mounties say a 41-year-old Dieppe man was arrested Wednesday during an ongoing drug-trafficking investigation.

Police later searched a hotel room on Mountain Road and arrested two women, a 27-year-old from Moncton and a 25-year-old from Quispamsis.

Officers seized crystal methamphetamine and pills, cocaine, hydromorphone capsules, drug paraphernalia, money and five cellphones.

The women were released with future court dates, while the man was returned to the custody of Correctional Service of Canada for a parole violation.
