Magnetic Hill Zoo Wild Lights Selling Out Quickly

It was a delayed start to the Wild Lights at the Magnetic Hill Zoo, due to being in the orange level the province’s recovery plan, but once they were unveiled on December 10th people have come out in droves to see them.

Director Jill Marvin says they were sold out on the first Friday night, “We’re hoping we’ll be able to continue right up until January 2nd. The only nights we will be closed are December 24th and 25th.”

Marvin says tickets must be purchased online. They go on sale online three days prior to the date you want to go. But you should purchase them early, because they continue to be sold out leading up to Christmas.

She says, “Our new lights in our forest area all in the theme of Amazon, and we have some Amazon Christmas music in that area as well.”

They have some new pastels in the trees this year, and you might get the added bonus of seeing a few animals as well, “On a nice mild night, our curious tiger might be out greeting visitors. We allow the animals the decision if they want to come out, but the visit to the Wild Lights is about the lights,” Marvin says.

Tickets can be purchased online, at the Magnetic Hill Zoo website.
