N.B. Reports One New COVID-19 Case, Five More Recoveries

New Brunswick reported just one new confirmed case of COVID-19 in the province on Wednesday.

The new case involves a person in their 30s in the Fredericton health region, Zone 3.

Public Health said the newest case of the virus is still under investigation.

Five more recoveries have been reported since Tuesday, bringing the number of known active cases down to 27.

Eight of those cases are in the Moncton region (Zone 1), seven are in the Fredericton region (Zone 3) and six are in the Edmundston region (Zone 4).

The Bathurst (Zone 6) and Miramichi (Zone 7) regions each have two cases, while the Saint John (Zone 2) and Campbellton (Zone 5) regions each have one.

Two people are currently in the hospital, including one person in intensive care.
