No New Cases After More Testing At Parkland Saint John

Another round of COVID-19 testing has been completed at Shannex Parkland Saint John.

The company says Simms Court residents and employees were retested Tuesday and no new cases were found.

There have been 20 confirmed cases at Parkland Saint John to date: 11 residents, eight employees and one non-Shannex employee.

Shannex says the outbreak status of Tucker Hall will be lifted 28 days after the last case was identified.

The last case reported by Shannex was on Dec. 16 and it involved an employee working in the cohorting unit, where residents who tested positive for the virus were cared for by staff dedicated to that area.

Meanwhile, Shannex said it is working on a plan to welcome more designated support people back into the community to visit their loved ones.

“More details will be shared directly with residents and families in the coming days,” the company said.
