Uptown Parking Ban Sunday Night

Those who park on-street on Saint John’s South/Central Peninsula will need to make alternate arrangements Sunday evening.

The city announced a parking ban would go into effect at 11 p.m. Sunday until 7 a.m. Monday.

According to the city, the following six parking lots will be available through the Parking Commission:

  • Corner of Princess Street and Canterbury Street (entrance on Canterbury Street)
  • Corner of Duke and Sydney Street
  • Peters Street
  • Carmarthen Street (Vineyard Church)
  • Corner of Charlotte Street and Queen Street at Key Industries (entrance on Queen Street)
  • Water Street

Cars left parked on-street after 11 p.m. are at risk of being ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.

Vehicles must be removed from the Parking Commission lots by 7 a.m. Monday morning.

There is also $5.00 overnight parking available at the Peel Plaza parking garage.
