Strict visitor restrictions remain in place at New Brunswick hospitals now under the Red level of pandemic recovery.
The Horizon Health Network said no visitors will be allowed at its facilities, with a few exceptions.
One designated visitor is allowed for patients in critical care, labour and delivery, postpartum care, pediatrics, neonatal, and palliative care
Palliative patients receiving end-of-life care are allowed two designated visitors, but they cannot visit at the same time.
In emergency departments, patients can only have one support person if they require assistance. Pediatric patients are allowed to have only one parent or caregiver with them.
Outpatient department patients are also only allowed to have one support person if they need assistance.
One person is allowed to pick up patients being discharged from the hospital.
Hospitals that remain under the Orange level of pandemic recovery have different visitor restrictions.

As for the Vitalité Health Network, obstetric and pediatric patients are allowed to have one designated visitor during the Red phase.
Palliative care patients are allowed two designated visitors, but as with Horizon, they are not allowed to visit at the same time.
Patients receiving medical assistance in dying are allowed two designated visitors — one at a time — except in exceptional cases where one of the visitors would require help getting to the patient’s bedside.
