Atlantic Canadians Have Mixed Reviews On 2020

A survey conducted by Narrative Research found social and travel restrictions were the largest negative impacts in 2020 among 2,512 participants surveyed across Atlantic Canada.

Residents of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick were most likely to report social restriction as a negative impact, while P.E.I. felt more impacted by the travel restrictions.

The loss of a job or income were the third and fourth most popular answers.

While it’s almost certain that 2020 will be remembered for the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the survey also shows almost all Atlantic Canadians who answered could still find a silver lining.

The most popular answer was the increase in focus on supporting local, followed by seeing health professionals online, connecting with family members, and being a community.
