QMJHL Teams In N.B. Remain Off The Ice

New Brunswick’s three Quebec Major Junior Hockey League teams will remain off the ice for the foreseeable future.

League officials say the province and Public Health have delayed their return to regular activities until the COVID situation improves.

But the game will go on for the league’s three other Maritimes teams: the Halifax Mooseheads, Cape Breton Eagles, and Charlottetown Islanders.

They are expected to return to the ice later this week after receiving approval from Public Health officials in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

The league has posted an updated schedule including Halifax, Cape Breton and Charlottetown for the upcoming month.

It said the schedule could change depending on New Brunswick’s situation, adding some games can be postponed or added to the calendar if a market gets Public Health approval.
