The Saint John Sea Dogs have announced several roster moves ahead of the second half of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) season.

The Sea Dogs have acquired defenceman Brandon Casey off waivers from the Rimouski Oceanic.

The 18-year-old from Newfoundland and Labrador was drafted to Rimouski in the fifth round of the 2018 QMJHL Entry Draft.

Also joining the club are two Maritime Hockey League (MHL) forwards who hail from the Greater Saint John region.

Zach Alchorn of Grand Bay-Westfield is joining the Sea Dogs from the Fredericton Red Wings and Carter McCluskey of Quispamsis is coming from the Grand Falls Rapids.

Defenceman Ben Roode has been reassigned to the Yarmouth Mariners (MHL) while forward Julian Vander Voet and overage goaltender Creed Jones have been released.
