RCMP Probe Western N.B. Shooting Incident

Police are investigating a weekend shooting incident in western New Brunswick which sent a woman to the hospital.

Mounties says responded to a report of shots fired at a vehicle in Johnville, near Florenceville-Bristol, early Sunday.

Police say officers found a vehicle in the ditch at the intersection of Route 105 and Cahill Road.

A 20-year-old woman who was in the vehicle was located at a nearby residence and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The next day, officers searched a home on Johnville Road as part of the investigation and seized a firearm.

No arrests have been made at this point.
