Overnight Parking Ban Declared For The South/Central Peninsula

The City of Saint John has declared a temporary overnight parking ban for the South/Central Peninsula starting at 11 p.m Wednesday night until 7 a.m. Thursday morning.

On-street parking is not allowed anywhere in the South/Central Peninsula area.

Vehicles left on the street after 11 p.m. when a parking ban has been declared will be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s risk and expanse.

111 tickets were issued and 26 vehicles were towed following a ban in the north, west and east areas of the city overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.

Six city lots are made available for on-street parkers as of 6 p.m.

· Corner of Princess Street and Canterbury Street (entrance on Canterbury Street)

· Corner of Duke and Sydney Street

· Peters Street

· Carmarthen Street (Vineyard Church)

· Corner of Charlotte Street and Queen Street at Key Industries (entrance on Queen Street)

· Water Street

All vehicles must be removed by 7 a.m. Monday through Friday and by noon on weekends.

Vehicles found in these parking lots after these times may be towed at the owner’s risk and expense.
