Woman Killed In TCH Collision Near Havelock

A 80-year-old woman from Dieppe has died after a crash on the Trans-Canada Highway near Havelock.

Shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday, RCMP Corporal Tamara Patterson says it’s believed an eastbound transport truck collided with a car that was attempting to change lanes.

An 81-year-old woman from Dieppe, who was a passenger in the car, was taken to hospital with what are believed to be serious injuries.

Patterson says a 63-year-old man from Shediac Bridge was driving the truck and suffered what are believed to be minor injuries.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the woman’s exact cause of death.
