Quispamsis Men Arrested In Drug Investigation

Police say two Quispamsis men have been arrested following an ongoing investigation dubbed “Operation Avalanche.”

The Kennebecasis Regional Police Force said officers searched a home Thursday as part of the investigation.

They seized around $2,200 in cash, 750 oxycodone and hydromorphone pills, and 33,000 contraband cigarettes.

Officers also found a Taser and more than $8,000 in stolen property, including an ATV.

Police say a 32-year-old man and a 60-year-old man are due in court in April. They will face charges including possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of contraband cigarettes, and possession of stolen property.

The investigation was conducted by the Integrated Street Crime Unit, which consists of officers from both the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force and the Saint John Police Force.
