Helen Boyd Running For Rothesay Council

A small business owner in Rothesay is looking for a spot around the council table.

Helen Boyd is one of nearly a dozen people seeking to fill the town’s seven council seats.

In a news release, Boyd lists some of her priorities as preserving green spaces and maintaining recreational facilities.

She said she also wants to create an environment for business growth and development that complements existing business and benefits the whole community.

“Those who know me know that I am approachable, dependable and sensible and I look forward to getting to know you,” Boyd said.

In addition to being a small business owner, Boyd is also a part-time school teacher and president of the Quispamsis Figure Skating Club.

Voters will elect their next mayor and council on May 10.
