Discoloured Water At Some City Homes

Saint John Water is looking into reports of discoloured water at some homes in the city.

The city said Wednesday that reports have come in from the north end, Millidgeville and parts of the west side.

“The issue is suspected to have been caused by recent work associated with a capital project,” the city said in a statement.

“We thank residents for their reports and assure you that Saint John Water staff are working to address the issue as quickly as possible.

If you see discoloured water coming from your tap, the city recommends flushing your pipes by running cold water in the bathtub until it clears.

Questions or concerns can be addressed by calling the city’s customer service centre at 506-658-4455.
