Fredericton police are investigating after a man’s body was found on the banks of the Saint John River.
Police say a cyclist found the body in the water near Hartt Island around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
“The body was positively identified as a 63-year old man from Fredericton,” police said in a news release.
An autopsy has been scheduled but police said they do not believe criminality was a factor.
The man’s name has not been released.
