Saint John remains in collective mourning today following the death of James Taylor over the weekend.
The five-year-old who captured the hearts of people throughout the region passed away on Saturday.
His death came just hours after the Greater Saint John community came together to help grant his final wish.
Taylor was in palliative care at the hospital. He was diagnosed with a genetic disorder and was suffering from liver failure.
He had one simple wish: to have a parade of emergency vehicles, construction vehicles, antique cars and other vehicles.
An estimated 1,000 vehicles came out to the Saint John Regional Hospital, where Taylor watched from his hospital bed outside.

On Monday, the city said flags at City Hall and other city facilities are flying at half-mast in Taylor’s honour.
