A 12-year-old aspiring astronaut from Saint John will take part in Junior Astronaut Camp this summer.
Gabbie Ewart, a Bayside Middle School student, will join a select group of Canadians taking part in Junior Astronaut Camp this summer.
Ewart explained why she likes space.
“I think its pretty interesting. There is so much that we haven’t seen. There is so much stuff to explore and new stuff to find out,” Ewart said.
We asked her what kind of things happen at Junior Astronaut Camp.
“We’ll be doing a virtual escape room, we’ll get to talk to the astronauts and I am pretty sure we are doing a Mars Rover simulation,” Ewart said.
While many campers consider Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield a hero, Ewart said she likes Neil Armstrong.
The virtual camp runs from July 26th to the 30th.
