Temperature Records Shattered On Tuesday

Several temperature records were tied or broken across New Brunswick on Tuesday as a mini heat wave continued.

Environment Canada says St. Stephen hit a high of 34.1°C, shattering the old record of 32.1°C set in 2008.

Bathurst, Doaktown, Kouchibouguac and Moncton all reached 33°C or higher, with some of the broken records dating back to 1950.

The high of 32.7°C in Fredericton tied a record set more than a decade ago in 2008.

Saint John only reached a high of 26.9°C, but that narrowly beat the old record of 26.7°C set in 1974.
