Three Arrests In Connection With Border Blockade

The dismantling of a border blockade between New Brunswick and Nova Scotia has lead to three arrests.

RCMP say the blockade that lasted almost 24 hours caused disruptions in both provinces.

Cumberland County District RCMP were deployed to the area in the hopes of a peaceful resolution.

When it became clear that this could not be met through dialogue, additional officers were deployed.

RCMP members, including Special Tactical Operations, were able to peacefully move most protesters out of the roadway.

Three individuals who failed to comply were arrested for mischief.

They were later released with a future court date.

The RCMP are continuing to keep a close eye on the border at this time.
