UPDATE: Slight Increase In NB COVID-19 Vaccine Rate

Public Health has updated its COVID-19 vaccination rates for Saturday.

The number of eligible New Brunswickers who have received their their second shots now sits at 38.5 per cent.

That means 8338 people received their second shots on Friday.

78.2 per cent have now had at least one dose.

There were no cases of COVID-19 to report for Saturday and there are 22 active cases remaining.

Seventy-five per cent of eligible New Brunswickers ages 12 and older must be fully vaccinated before the province moves to the green phase.

They have set a tentative date of August 2, if the 75 per cent is reached.
