Scoudouc Company Facing Hiring Challenges

With the province slowly reopening, more businesses are looking for employees.

A Scoudouc business that refurbishes propane tanks, has begun its search to fill a variety of roles, some for the summer months.

Human Resources Generalist at Ditech Testing Amanda Dean says their hunt hasn’t been as easy this year, “There’s a lot of competition out there, there are a lot of businesses hiring. I think people are still a little reluctant to get an start working after the pandemic, so I think it is a little harder this year.”

Dean says they are recruiting for a variety of roles, including Cross Border Truck Drivers, which requires prior experience, but there are positions that only a high school diploma is needed, “We offer in house training. So, you would work with a buddy and learn how to do the position that you are doing. Or if it is for another position that is a little more in depth, we do sometimes have a third party come in and do a little more training.”

Positions include Cross border truck drivers, Production, Mechanics and yard workers.

A full list of openings can be found on the Ditech website.
