Public Health Reports One New Case

New Brunswick is reporting one new case of COVID-19 on Sunday as the active case count rises to nine.

The new case was found in Zone 3, the Fredericton region, according to the figures from New Brunswick’s COVID-19 dashboard.

Hospitalizations due to the virus remain at zero in the province. Public Health has not reported any new recoveries.

Saturday proved to be a slow day for vaccinations, with first and second dose figures only experiencing minor changes.

58.1% percent of New Brunswickers are now fully vaccinated, while eligible individuals that have received at least one dose remains at 80.4%.

An additional 16.9% of residents 12 and older must be fully vaccinated before the province’s mandatory order can end. The move to the Green level is also contingent on a low amount of COVID-19 hospitalizations.
