59.7% Of NBers Now Fully Vaccinated

Nearly 60 per cent of eligible New Brunswickers have now received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

The latest figures released Tuesday show more than 11,000 people received their second dose on Monday.

That pushed the number of fully vaccinated people aged 12 and older to 59.7 per cent.

In addition, more than 1,500 other people were given their first dose of a vaccine on Monday.

That means 80.7 per cent of the eligible population in New Brunswick now has at least one dose.

Seventy-five per cent of eligible New Brunswickers ages 12 and older must be fully vaccinated before the province moves to the green phase.

Officials have set a target of New Brunswick Day, Aug. 2.
