Air Quality Statement Remains In Effect

A special air quality statement remains in effect Wednesday for New Brunswick.

It was issued due to smoke from wildfires in central Canada pushing into the province.

Environment Canada says the smoke may descend close to the ground and reduce air quality for several hours.

The smoke plume is expected to move out of the province later in the day Wednesday, which will lead to improved air quality.
