Police say a 66-year-old woman has died following a single-vehicle crash near St. Stephen.

Emergency crews responded to the scene on Highway 3 near Moores Mills around 4 a.m. Tuesday.

Investigators believe the woman suffered a medical emergency and lost control of her vehicle, which left the road and struck a rock.

They say the victim, who was from the nearby community of DeWolfe, died at the scene.

An autopsy will be performed to determine her exact cause of death.
