Woman Arrested After Break And Enter

Saint John police say a woman has been arrested in connection with a break and enter in the city’s uptown.

Police say they were called to a residence on Wentworth Street shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers were told by the homeowner that several items had been stolen, according to a news release.

“A short time later, officers responding to another call in the uptown area located and arrested a 23-year-old woman for a breach of court order,” police said in the release.

“Upon searching the woman, officers located items believed to be stolen from the break and enter on Wentworth Street.”

The woman appeared in court Thursday for failure to comply with the conditions of a judge’s release order.

Police said she has since been released from custody.
