New Brunswick added 65 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, pushing the number of active cases above 500 for the first time.
The Moncton area added 11 cases, the Fredericton health zone had 15 cases, and the Saint John zone had two new cases.
There were also 20 cases in the Edmundston region, 13 in the Campbellton region, and two each in the Bathurst and Miramichi health zones.
There are 509 active cases of the virus in the province. Twenty-four people are in the hospital, 15 of them in the ICU.
77.9 per cent of eligible New Brunswickers are now fully vaccinated while 86.6 per cent have had one dose.

Just before midnight on Tuesday night, new measures come into effect to deal with COVID-19.
People will have to show proof of full vaccination when accessing certain events, services and businesses, including:
-indoor festivals, performing arts and sporting events;
-indoor and outdoor dining and drinking at restaurants, pubs and bars;
-movie theatres, nightclubs, amusement centres, pool halls, bowling alleys and casinos;
-gyms, indoor pools and indoor recreation facilities;
-indoor group exercise facilities;
-indoor organized gatherings, including weddings, funerals, parties (excluding parties in a private dwelling), conferences and workshops;
-indoor organized group recreational sports, classes and activities; and visiting a long-term care facility.
Wearing a mask will be mandatory in all indoor public spaces, and anyone travelling into the province must pre-register through the New Brunswick Travel Registration Program.
