Gas Prices Down, Diesel Prices Up

Some drivers will be paying a bit less to fill up their vehicle’s fuel tank on Thursday.

That is a drop of 0.2 cents after the weekly setting by the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board.

Diesel prices climbed by 2.6 cents to a new maximum price of $1.456 per litre.

Most local stations are selling both fuels for a few cents less.

This time last year, regular self-serve was selling for a maximum of $1.007 per litre, while the most you were paying for diesel was 98.7 cents per litre.

Meanwhile, furnace oil is now selling for a maximum of $1.278 per litre, an increase of 2.7 cents.

Propane prices climbed by just over three cents to a new maximum of $1.249.

Fuel prices are reset every Wednesday night in New Brunswick.
