Fairfield Man Charged After Being Unlawfully At Large

Police say a 30-year-old man is facing charges after being unlawfully at large in the Pocologan area.

Mounties say they responded to a report of a man breaching his house-arrest conditions on Saturday.

The man fled before officers arrived, but police received information Monday that he was seen in the same area again.

Police say after fleeing a second time, the man was found later that afternoon but assaulted a peace officer before being taken into custody.

Zachary Roger Gordon Orr of Fairfield is charged with assaulting a peace officer, failing to comply with an order, and two counts of resisting arrest.

Orr was remanded into custody after a court appearance on Tuesday and is scheduled to return at a later date.
