RCMP Investigate Woodstock-Area Homicide

Mounties are looking for information from the public as they investigate a weekend homicide in the Woodstock area.

Police say they responded to a report of a woman who was shot outside a home on Route 165 in Bulls Creek around 2 a.m. Sunday.

The victim, who police have identified as 35-year-old Christine Thibodeau, died at the scene from her injuries.

Investigators say a 50-year-old man was arrested at the scene and later released.

Police are looking to speak with anyone who has information or witnessed the incident.

An autopsy has been scheduled to help determine the woman’s exact cause of death.
