Emergency Crews Deal With Crash, Small Fire

It was a busy Monday morning for emergency crews throughout the City of Saint John.

First responders were called to a crash on the Reversing Falls Bridge sometime before 10 a.m.

Photos from the scene showed the front of a vehicle through the guardrail of the bridge.

Platoon Chief Patrick Thebeau with the Saint John Fire Department said no one was hurt in the incident.

“The Works Department is putting a barricade up so it’s made safe again,” said Thebeau late Monday morning.

Crews also responded to reports of an outside fire just off Paradise Row a short time later.

Thebeau said firefighters found a tent on fire and were able to quickly extinguish it without any injuries.
