Dozens Ticketed During Overnight Parking Ban

Dozens of tickets were issued during a temporary overnight parking ban in parts of the city on Friday night.

The ban was declared early Friday afternoon for the north, east and west areas of the city.

“Any vehicle impeding snow removal operations will be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense,” the city said in a news release.

Nathalie Logan, a spokesperson for the city, said the city issued 133 tickets during the ban, but no vehicles were towed.

It was up to motorists to make their own arrangements for off-street parking during the ban, which ran from midnight Friday night until 7 a.m. Saturday.
