Hampton Restaurant Closes For Good

Residents in the Hampton area now have one less place to grab a bite to eat.

The Match Factory Restaurant announced its permanent closure earlier this week.

“Our lease is expiring and we have decided not to renew it,” said a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page on Tuesday.

Dozens of people have commented on the post to date, with many saying they are sad to see the Main Street restaurant close.

The post goes on to thank the community for their support over the past five years.

“We wanted to give a special thanks to our very wonderful and committed staff and thank them for all their hard work and perseverance especially over what has been a very challenging two years,” said the post.

Match Box Pizza, located next to The Match Factory Restaurant, will remain open, according to the post.
