Ten Charges Laid In Moncton Shooting Incident

A Moncton man is facing ten charges in connection with a shooting incident.

Charges against 33-year-old Michael Jean Paul Aube include attempted murder, assault with a weapon, and aggravated assault.

RCMP say a 44-year-old man was found suffering from a serious life threatening gunshot wound after the incident on Lutz Street on January 29th.

Aube was arrested on February 11th.

He appeared in court this week via tele remand to be charged with:

  • attempted murder
  • aggravated assault
  • assault causing bodily harm
  • assault with a weapon
  • carrying a concealed weapon
  • possession of ammunition for a dangerous purpose
  • possession of ammunition contrary to an order
  • storing ammunition in a careless manner
  • two counts of failure to comply with a probation order

He is scheduled to return to court on March 1.
